Our founder, Laryl, was let go from her job during COVID-19 — a moment that could have been devastating. Instead, she turned it into a calling. She knew families needed someone truly trustworthy at home — someone who would show up with warmth, not just a checklist.
So she built the service she wished had existed. Starting with just a handful of Toronto families, Swept Away grew quietly and steadily — always prioritizing quality over quantity, and relationships over transactions.
Today, we serve hundreds of families across the GTA, but our approach has never changed: every home gets the same care and attention we would give our own.
